Build one persistent survivor and a permanent recovery camp across an endless shared night. Master three firearms, face the named Lost Six, earn faction ranks, and carry every hard-won reward into the next run.
The world is frozen. Tune camera, touch comfort, feedback, and graphics; every choice persists between lives.
One reticle shows your true aim. Choose control side, HUD size, feedback, motion, and detail.
Commit to one run-only survival trait. Each night offers a different build, and the choice cannot be undone until the next life.
Take one field job, gather its objective after accepting, then return to this cabin and survive the defense. Better safehouse tiers bring harder holds and richer rewards.
"The forest took back the sound."
The fixed center reticle is your aim. Click the world once for unlimited locked 360-degree mouse look. Escape releases it and P retries it. If the local browser blocks capture, free look stays active without holding a button and resting the pointer at either edge keeps turning. Press Space or tap JUMP to leap while moving without bypassing solid cover.
Aim at a trunk and chop, or strike a nearby enemy. Tree damage persists; felled trees leave stumps and yield usable wood.
Look down and dig persistent holes for dirt, stone, and scrap. Gold stakes reveal survivor caches: recover three daily for uncommon-or-better loot and a completion bonus. At close range the shovel can stagger an attacker.
Preview and place a campfire, timber wall, lean-to, workbench, or spike trap. Aim at damaged construction and swing to repair it with wood. Use a focused structure twice to dismantle it and reclaim part of its materials.
Glints mark unsearched cars, crates, toolboxes, packs, fuel cans, barrels, and healing mooncaps. Wrecks can yield the Morrow 12; Stonewatch hides the Northstar rifle. Tap slot 1 again or press Q to cycle owned firearms.
Each UTC day marks three distant landmarks. Reach them in any order and search one cache at each site; the compass reports the nearest unfinished stop, and completing the route awards a protected rare supply or Wayfinder item.
3D walkers, runners, crawlers, brutes, armored dead, howlers, stalkers, and bloaters roam differently, hear gunshots and chopping, trigger traps, and attack structures. Interrupt a howler before it rallies the horde, watch for stalkers circling your flank, and headshot bloaters to prevent their close-range burst. Tap EVADE or press V to dodge in your movement direction; evade during the final flash of a telegraphed hit to refund stamina and open a brief counter window.
Ravens cross the sky while evacuation tents, generators, dumpsters, benches, cones, cabins, cars, and abandoned equipment form recognizable places to search and navigate.
Search a car or van, equip the hammer, and restore one with wood and scrap. Drive with WASD or the movement stick while looking freely in every direction. FIRE sounds the horn, USE exits, JUMP applies the handbrake, and R or REFUEL consumes refined fuel. Vehicles have different handling, take damage, and can ram the dead.
Search the cupboard of a sturdy cabin, board its door from inside, then establish a run-only safehouse. Its 3D radio offers deterministic Timber, Cache, Purge, and Salvage sorties. Gather progress after accepting, return to the cupboard, and survive the cabin defense for faction reputation, banked scrap, protected items, upgrades, and a restorative bed charge.
Open the persistent pack with Tab or PACK. Track career totals, zombie and champion kills, collected items, fifteen claimable milestones, three rotating Night Orders, equipment, crafting, perks, and faction reputation.
Earn run XP to draft one of three survival traits at 120, 300, and 600 XP. Stack movement, combat, defense, scavenging, or recovery bonuses into a different build each life.
Open Legacy in the Pack to contribute run resources, stored materials, and scrap to nine permanent Warmhouse, Machine Shed, and Signal Mast stages. The growing 3D camp appears around the extraction clearing and unlocks warmth, workshop discounts, discovery range, and a 30-second event radio preview.
Every public event draws one named signature dead with a distinct champion body and escorts. Finish the event objective and defeat its threat to recover authored epic gear; complete all six hunts for the Keeper of the Lost title and 150 banked scrap.
Each firearm earns five permanent mastery ranks from killing blows, tougher dead, champions, and headshot finishes. Ally, Trusted, and Vanguard standing unlocks nine one-time faction rewards and subtle permanent specialties.
If the backpack is full, up to sixteen rare or protected rewards wait safely in the Pack. Make room and claim them later without losing rarity, item level, quantity, or affixes.
Fifty-five items appear with five rarity tiers, item levels, and ten gear affixes. Combine Trailwatch, Wreckers, Winterbound, Bulwark, or Wayfinder pieces for set bonuses. Build a workbench to reforge scavenged uncommon-or-better gear.
When launched through the included realm service, other survivors appear as live 3D characters with names, health, equipped tools, movement, and chat. Offline and App Store builds continue as a complete solo RPG.
Six events rotate through the world: Dead Air, Wreck Run, Whiteout Relief, Supply Sweep, Raise the Line, and Timber Call. Complete timed cooperative objectives for faction reputation, XP, and rare equipment.
The world seed, loot, pressure, enemy mix, contract, and one combat, field, and craft Night Order change each UTC day. Complete all three orders for a rare cache. Containers refresh each run, while their persistent loot reward remains daily.
Complete the daily contract, or discover two landmarks and recover a second firearm, to light the clearing signal. Return to X 0 / Z 0, call extraction, and hold the beacon through the final surge. You can ignore it and keep exploring for a larger score.
